Cymru Older People’s Alliance (COPA) is a representative organisation. Its major role is to bring key concerns of the older residents of Wales to the national government. It must always seek to represent the best interests and views of older people. This may be done as and when specific issues arise, such as in response to consultations. However, there are significant areas of Welsh Government policy that can be identified that could be improved. The aim of the “Position Papers” is to set out what these improvements are.

Position Papers will be created in draft form by COPA. These will be circulated for comment to the 22 Fora in Wales and modified appropriately. Once this process is complete, the papers will be approved by the Board.
