Cymru Older Peoples Alliance (COPA) have today (2 June) written to the new Deputy Minister for Social Care at Welsh Government, Delyth Jewell MS. The letter welcomes the programme for older people set out in the Plaid Cymru Manifesto but emphasises that it is essential older people are engaged “front and centre” in its implementation so that our voice is not only heard but acted upon. The letter outlines the many issues that older people regard as urgent to resolve with their transparent involvement from the outset. Working with the other National Organisations for Older People, the next steps are to invite the Minister to a joint Conference on 7 October and to an inaugural joint meeting.
