COPA ‘YOUR POINT OF VIEW’ SURVEY

Cymru Older People’s Alliance (COPA) have now completed the second of our bi-monthly survey with Forums and Partners called ‘Your Point of View’. It gathers the views of older people on a range of issues and their importance to individuals. The purpose of this Survey can be summarised as:

  • To demonstrate, the value of the voice of older people in Wales.
  • To gather the views of older people across Wales via 50+ Forum Representatives and local authority Age Friendly Community networks.
  • To present the views of older people in a simple format, particularly for the benefit of key agencies, Welsh Government for policy; Commissioner for Older People for information; LA for direction; Age Cymru and charities for guidance, at a time of political churn in Wales.
  • To monitor and keep the views of older people in prominent position, highlighting the key issues of concern on a bi-monthly basis during 2026.
  • To build on COPA Manifesto; to ensure all Senedd Members know about COPA contribution to Wales

The second round of the survey in March followed the success of the first survey, with almost 200 responses in total from almost all local authority areas in Wales. The results can be seen here – We hope that this number will build as the year goes on, so please share the survey with all your contacts and encourage them to take part.

Hard copies are available by contacting Kathy Lye on either email – Kathy.Lye@agecymru.org.uk or by phone on 07944 996965. Kathy is also available to answer any questions or offer support about filling in the surveys, either online or hard copy.
