Cymru Older People’s Alliance (COPA) are delighted to support the publication of a new Forum Resource Manual for Older People’s forums that Age Cymru has developed.  

The new Resource Manual is designed to help forums and groups to develop and ensure the views of older people can be heard and acted upon.  The Manual provides comprehensive information and advice on how to set up and run a successful forum. Guidance is also included on how to campaign, on publicity, and how to engage with politicians at both a local and national level.

COPA as the National Charity for local forums and groups  believe it is vital that independent representation of older people by older people on a self-determined basis can flourish and influence decisions at a local and national level. This Resource Manual will support that aim and provides high quality information and guidance for local forums and groups. COPA have also published complementary guidance for Forums on an Operating Framework for Forums Guidance Final1 (copacharity.com)  and Governance of Forums  COPA Governance Guidance final 1 (copacharity.com)
